Description
On offer here is a very nice solid Djalu yidaki in the key of F with a lower key E/Eb toot. This instrument plays loudly with ease and has a lovely deep boomy toot (I have had to lower the overall volume to stop the powerful toot distorting the sound file). The neck section is quite narrow giving a good pressure making it a breeze to play and then it opens out, as it tapers toward the distal end, into a large bell which allows vocals and tongue sounds come across strongly. A nice instrument whether you play the slower older style Djalu rhythms or the turbo charged sounds of some of the more modern yolngu players. The mouthpiece has had a small amount of HARD black wax added just to make it a more regular shape and easier to play
