Description
This is a very nice" low key" yidaki with "old school" acoustics made by Djapilawy the daughter of Djalu Gurruwiwi. Like most of her fathers instruments this is a solidly made yidaki with a natural bore throughout, apart from some slight chipping away at the distal end. Back pressure is good for a 'C' stick due to the narrowing of the bore for a few inches part way down from the mouthpiece end. Not a really loud instrument if you compare it to some of the higher key sticks but one that has a really pleasant, relaxing tone and which responds easily to tongue/throat and vocal input
